task 14 simile poem

I know you like a mother knows their baby
I know you like I know the danger of a bee
I know you like teenagers know acne
Run to tesco for clearasil
Like a headache requires a pill
I know you like pete knows heroin
I know you like kelly holmes knows a win
I know you like baked beans know a tin
Yet another microwave meal
Like before God, a man needs to kneel
I know you like a car knows its petrol
I know you like a teddy knows a roll
I know you like the charge for the toll
I know you.

  1. Some interesting (and original) similes here - some of which are very effective indeed.

I was just left wanting more - and therefore a little disappointed it was so short. :(

Push yourself, jaffacake; exceptional results only come from exceptional effort. :)

  2. there was a lot of good standard similes in this poem that i liked there all very factual and with a few tweaks could be exellent.I just get the feeling that (and i might be wrong) that you arent stepping out of your comfort zone and if you experimented a bit more your poems could be superb.
