  1. Hi chex

This seems to be going well in general. No problems with iambic pentameter (although 'thy greatly loathed' seems to be lacking a noun!)
The trochees - you've got the rhythm fine, but you seem to be putting an extra, stressed syllable in at the end of the line. As in, they rhythm you're looking for should be 'FUR-y TAKES con-TROL my EYES a'...that's it, no final syllable.
Dactylic trimeters are working - I think 'ARE-my-dream' is forcing the natural rhythm a little but other than that it's very good.
Exercise 4: nos 1 and 2 are spot on - I'm not sure quite what happened with no. 2! There's an extra syllable here too, and the rhythm isn't really anapestic I think. But you obviously know how to do it - the others, as I say, are very good.
The more you do it, the more easily the rhythms will come to you - but as things stand you seem fairly at home with them, well done - just have another glance at those trochees!

  2. Exercise 1 and 2: nothing to add to claire_a's comments here...

Exercise 3: I agree that "are" sounds wrong stressed, but otherwise excellent. Mind your spelling though: foetuses

Exercise 4: As claire_a says, 1 and 3 are spot on. What happened with Line 2?

Exercise 5: Where IS exercise 5? And exercise 6, for that matter? You promised "the rest later" on 7th Jan and it's the 14th tomorrow. :(
