The ONE night i have off
and he's slumped on the floor
No doubt the cherubs took him drinking again
They're a terrible influence on him
any other man woul kill to spend the evening with me!
I just don't get it...
I told him we need councelling
He dismisses the subject everytime i bring it up
The irony of it all is that Im the goddess of love and my love life is going nowhere!
Perhaps i should give up and accept this is how my life is
An excellent, comic take on the myth. Your 21st Century Venus is fantastically feisty - and all the better for it. I really enjoyed reading this, and, although your final line is a bit of an anticlimax, the rest is consistently brilliant. Well done!
