Family is a great big heart
Family a tasty jam tart
Family is the greatest piece of art

Family is the warmth of a glowing fire

    I really liked your poem, I also really liked the fact that it makes us able to realize how important "family is"

    The metaphors here are fresh, original and highly effective - and heart-warming too!

    I especially like stanza three, which is both simple and profound at the same time (no small feat) - particularly the third line.

    Elsewhere, if you look closely, it is only your rhythm that lets you down a little at times, with three rather than four feet in some of your lines. But I said at the start that this would be the most difficult thing, so I am not criticising at all! :)
