music is a way of showing just how you think,
music is a way that you and others can link,
music is a way of feeling low without others seeing you sink,
music is...
music is way of speaking without using words,
music is a way of speaking without being heard,
music is a way of flying just like a bird,
music is...
music is a way of hearing the words you want to hear,
music is sound that makes you feel you can disappear,
music is a way of crying without shedding a tear,
music is...
music is a way of unlocking your soul without needing a key,
music is enjoying your time without wasting energy,
music is a way of drowning yourself without the sea,
music is...
music is a way to smile
music is love without walking down the aisle
music is a way to be full of style
music is
:D =] :)
ReplyDeleteThumbs up!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteGreat work.
I love this line;
'Music is a way of drowning yourself without the sea'
I couldn't agree more.
^^
Firstly, look at my comment about Fizzy's poem below - because, aside from the many excellent things about your poem, the main flaw is the same as Fizzy's: by inserting "a way of" before the majority of your metaphors, you are instantly diluting their effect and making them half-simile/half-metaphor. Think how amazing a line of poetry would be the following: "Music is speaking without using words". That would have been simply extraordinary - and all just by ditching those three words.
ReplyDeleteOther metaphors which have the potential for greatness here: "Music is crying without shedding a tear"; "Music is drowning yourself without the sea"; "Music is love without walking down the aisle". Fantastic stuff!!! :)
