The religion I follow is Islam.
Islam teaches Muslims about Allah.

Giving money to the poorer,
another duty I obey.
Pilgrimages I have to go on.
Ramadan is a month of fasting.
Slaughtering a cow for kurbani.
This is what Islam is.
This is what makes me, me.
It teaches me a lot.
People who follow Islam are Muslims,

ReplyDeleteYou're getting there with some of these: for example, "Giving money to the poorer" is perfectly trochaic and "this is what Islam is" is perfectly anapestic. However, your other lines, whilst with the right number of syllables, are stressing the wrong ones.
ReplyDeleteAs I said to giggly angel, I strongly suggest you:
* read shiningstar's and scarlet-kyuubi's attempts at Task 17;
* read the other attempts and, especially, the moderators comments on them
* read some of the early tasks (and listen to the podcasts too).
And if you're still stuck, having done ALL of this, stay back at the end of a lesson and ask me again? You'll get there. :)
